It was alleged on X that the TikTok influencer is 40 years old; however, several commentators on X have come out to debate the issue. Some commentators alleged that the content creator cannot be older than 14, while some users have said that he is probably 32.

How Did the Controversy Start?
On Sunday, the X platform, Afro Nigeria, announced that Kolu was celebrating his 40th birthday.
The post reads, “Kolu turns 40 today. Happy birthday, Hamzat. More success and long life.”
Following the announcement, netizens were quick to express their shock. Several commentators mentioned that they cannot believe Kolu is 40.

So, How Old is Kolu?
Reports about Kolu’s real age are currently quite sketchy. However, in a previous interview with media personality Egungun, Kolu mentioned that he was 32. Therefore, Kolu clocked 33 on Sunday.
Here is what he said during the interview, “They call me Kolu wahala. I’m 32 years old, and I’m the firstborn of my family. We are 10 in my family. My mom died a long time ago. My dad got married to another wife. I had to hustle for myself, so I went to Abuja to beg money.”
Going through his Instagram page, Kolu only shared a message celebrating his birthday without including his new age.
