Love, they say knows no bounds, but unfortunately for some Nigerian celebrities in the entertainment industry, this is not true, as their marriages to their spouses came to a brutal end despite attaining prominence in their careers.

Indeed, celebrity marriages often capture the public’s imagination, but not all of them stand the test of time.

In 2025, many celebrities left their marriages, while some chose to live as singles, others immediately moved on, settling down with other people.

Veteran Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia popularly known as Tuface in January 2025, announced that he and his wife Annie have been separated for a while and have filed for divorce. This comes after their 12 years of marriage.

TuFace and Annie met when she was a teenager, and their love story blossomed from there. Despite 2Baba fathering children with other women during their relationship, Annie stood by him and they eventually tied the knot in 2012.

The couple birthed two children.

Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko

The marriage between actress Regina Daniels and billionaire politician, senator Ned Nwoko came to an abrupt end in November, 2025 after the actress publicly accused the lawmaker of domestic violence.

Since then, the estranged couples, has seen allegations of domestic violence, emotional coercion, control, harassment and drug use from both sides.

They both have two sons together.

Sabinus and Ciana Chapman

Nigerian popular skit maker, Sabinus with real name Emmanuel Ejekwu recently addressed the long-standing rumors about his marital status, confirming that his union with Ciana Chapman ended peacefully this year.

During a live stream session with fellow comedian Carter Efe, Sabinus opened up about the end of his relationship, sharing that it concluded on amicable terms. “I’m not married. For those carrying rumours, I am not married. My marriage ended peacefully. The mum and I are good,” he stated, referring to Chapman as the mother of his young daughter.

He further clarified that despite the split, he and Chapman maintain a positive co-parenting dynamic, with their child remaining their top priority.

Anita Joseph and MC Fish

The marriage of Popular Nollywood actress, Anita Joseph and her ex-husband, MC Fish reportedly crashed this year over alleged domestic violence and infidelity.

Entertainment journalist, Stella Dimoko Korkus confirmed the development, revealing that Anita and MC Fish have gone their separate ways.

According to the SDK, sources privy to the issue said, trouble began in the actress’ home after MC Fish joined the Freemason fraternity.

Although, the actress is yet to make any comments, she had gone on to make several posts about positive mindset and self healing.

Nollywood actress Biola Adebayo in June 2025 announced the end of her marriage to her husband, Oluwaseyi Akinrinde.

Adebayo revealed the separation in an Instagram post on her ex-husband’s birthday, disclosing that she had been separated since April of the previous year (2024).

She further stated that she made the public announcement herself to prevent rumors and misinformation from spreading online, and her estranged husband was aware of her decision to post about it.

Broadcast Journalist Frank Edoho, famed host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? is also amongst celebrities whose marriage collasped this year.

In June 2025, the media personality while appearing on the Tea With Tay podcast announced that despite “going above and beyond,” both his marriages ended in heartache.

Edoho reflected that perhaps marriage “isn’t for me,” labelling both partners as not his soulmates. His second wedding in 2014 produced two children and by mid-2025, the marriage had formally collapsed.

Comedian Ijoba Lande had sparked an outrage on social media in March after publicly accusing his wife, Dara, of serial infidelity within the entertainment industry. In a viral tell‑all interview, he named fellow entertainers allegedly involved, including Baba Tee.

Comedian Destalker

Comedian Destalker quietly confirmed his marriage had ended. During an interview, he stated simply: “I was married but not anymore,” noting that marriage isn’t always a guarantee of happiness.

Femi Adebayo and Iyana Aladuke

The marriage between Nollywood actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo and his wife, Iyana Aladuke, appears to have hit the rock.

This comes after Aladuke via her Instagram page some couple of days ago, s publicly accused her friend, Olatoun of betrayal, claiming she played a role in the collapse of her marriage.

She wrote, “The betrayal cuts deep. How could you destroy something beautiful? Even if I fall, you should be the one lifting me up. Even in my mistakes, you should be covering me up. You were like my sister. You are ev!l.

Although, the actor is yet to make any public comments regarding the situation of his home, Aladuke’s statement sparked concerns amongst worried fans.
