Martins Vincent Otse, social media activist popularly known as Verydarkman, has offered fresh insights into the long-running dispute between singer Cynthia Morgan and her former record label boss, Jude Okoye.
Speaking in a recent video, Verydarkman revealed that he had a chance encounter with Jude Okoye at an event, where he took the opportunity to address the lingering controversy over Cynthia Morgan’s royalties and stage name.
According to him, Jude Okoye provided compelling evidence to counter Cynthia Morgan’s allegations. One such piece was a 2016 video showing the singer herself announcing her new stage name, “Madrina.” This, Verydarkman noted, contradicts Cynthia’s claim that she was barred by Jude from using her former identity.
Jude Okoye also reportedly presented financial records to back his side of the story. He disclosed that the total royalties earned from Cynthia Morgan’s music amounted to just $3,860 since her breakthrough in the industry.
Verydarkman further explained that Jude maintained the contract between them was not his creation but was drafted by Cynthia Morgan and her manager, which he merely signed.
Reflecting on the meeting, Verydarkman admitted he initially believed Cynthia’s version of events and had confronted Jude Okoye emotionally. However, after seeing the evidence, he said he felt misled.

“I approached Jude and said, ‘Bros, this issue with Cynthia Morgan — how can we resolve it? She’s been saying you withheld her royalties and took away her name. People know her as Cynthia, not Madrina.
“But Jude showed me a video where Cynthia unveiled the Madrina name herself. He told me everything he earned from her music was just $3,860. I also asked him about other money Cynthia accused him of taking. Jude said I could take his records to the best auditor in the world, and if anything is missing, I should expose him on social media,” Verydarkman recounted.
In conclusion, he called on Cynthia Morgan to apologise publicly to Jude Okoye for the damage he believes her accusations caused to the music executive’s reputation.
