Nigerian music legend, Abolore Akande, popularly known as 9ice, has sent a strong message to his colleague, Innocent Idibia, also called 2Face or 2Baba, as he marked his 50th birthday.
9ice, who is known for hit songs like Gongo Aso, joined other celebrities and fans on Thursday to celebrate the African Queen crooner. But in his birthday message, he also gave a warning, saying that not everyone is happy with 2Face’s success story.
According to him, there are many people who secretly wish that 2Face would fall from grace. However, 9ice encouraged the music icon not to be afraid, stressing that no matter the opposition, he would continue to rise and shine.
In his words, 9ice said: “2Face, happy birthday to you. I wish you long life and prosperity. I know so many wish you fall but you shall never fall. I love you. You shall prosper. You are not going to fall. It’s just a phase of life. You will always overcome it. I love you. God bless you. Happy birthday to you.”
The singer noted that envy and jealousy are part of life, especially for people who have attained greatness in their field, but he assured that 2Face’s legacy and talent will continue to stand tall.
