Cubana Chiefpriest, the popular Nigerian socialite and businessman whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, has described his decision not to support President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election as a “foolish” and “careless mistake.”
In recent statements amid his vocal backing for Tinubu’s anticipated 2027 re-election bid, Chiefpriest admitted he sided with Peter Obi in 2023 due to ethnic sentiments as an Igbo man.
He regretted the choice, stating it stemmed from wanting to “be an Igbo boy,” but now views it as foolish since Tinubu won convincingly without heavy reliance on Southeast votes.

Chiefpriest has urged fellow Southeasterners to align with Tinubu, arguing the president is “20 steps ahead” strategically and that opposition would repeat past errors.
