Nigerian actor Timini Egbuson has announced the death of his father, Samuel Oyindobra Egbuson.
The actor had taken to social media to share the news on Instagram on Sunday, alongside several photos honoring his father.
The actor penned down an emotional post on Instagram on Sunday, saying: “Didn’t think I’ll start the year saying this … Rest in peace Dad. So much left unsaid, but I’ll keep making you proud.”
Timini is also the brother of actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande, who’s also an award-winning actress.
Timini, known for his versatility on screen, has featured in several Nollywood films and television series and has also made his mark as a producer. Over the years, he has built a strong fan base nationwide.
Fans of both Timini and Dakore took to social media to express sympathy, while fellow actors, producers and media personalities also flooded the comment section with condolence messages.
Although Timini did not disclose details about his father’s age or the cause of death, his tribute reflected deep grief as well as a resolve to honour his father’s memory.
