Veteran Fuji musician, Adewale Ayuba, has reacted to reports making rounds on social media that he divorced his wife, Azuka Ego, over a paternity issue.
A YouTube channel, Nigerian News, had last week claimed that the Bonsue Fuji crooner secretly conducted a DNA test which allegedly exposed infidelity by his wife.
The channel further alleged that the result of the test pushed Ayuba to divorce his wife after many years of marriage.
The story spread quickly online, with many fans expressing shock over the claim.
But in a swift reaction, Ayuba, through his music company, Bonsue Fuji Entertainment, described the report as false, baseless and malicious.
According to the statement, Ayuba is still happily married to his wife, Azuka Ego, and at no time did he ever question the paternity of his children.

Ayuba also took to his official Instagram page to address his followers on the matter. He maintained that his integrity and that of his family must not be dragged through the mud.
He further vowed to take legal steps against the blogger behind the story.
Part of the statement reads: “We want to state this clearly to everyone who supports Dr. Adewale Ayuba, that there is absolutely no truth, not a single iota, in this cooked-up story. For the record, they have been happily married for over thirty years. This is nothing more than a cheap, despicable attempt to embarrass Dr. Ayuba’s family, malign his character, and bring his united family to public ridicule. We are currently consulting with our lawyers to pursue all available legal remedies against the irresponsible individual.”
