Budding Nigerian movie actress, Shine Rosman, has said Nigerian movie stars are not as rich as many assume.
Featuring in a recent podcast hosted by her colleague Baaj Adebule, Rosman said the most common misconception about Nollywood stars is that they are very rich, which is not entirely true.

She explained that, contrary to the misconception, a lot of Nollywood actors are struggling financially.
She noted that the movie stars who are financially buoyant make most of their money from other ventures.

Rosman said, “The most overrated misconception about Nollywood stars is that we have money. I don’t know why people assume we have money. Some of us do have money, but from other ventures. But many of us are struggling financially.”
