Actress Angela Okorie Publicly Apologies to Mercy Johnson

Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has publicly apologised to her colleague Mercy Johnson in a heartfelt video shared shortly after her release from detention at Suleja Prison.

The apology comes amid an ongoing cyberstalking and defamation case filed by Mercy Johnson against Okorie over years of online accusations and heated social media exchanges.

In the emotional clip, Angela expressed deep regret for her past actions, admitting that industry gossip and emotions had led her to make hurtful statements. Retracting her allegations against the actress, Okorie said, “You’re not a witch, you’re not what people are calling you,” and emphasised that such labels were baseless and harmful.

Okorie addressed Johnson directly, saying she was “deeply sorry” and asked for forgiveness, noting the importance of peace for both their families and children, who might one day become friends.

Recall that feud between both actresses, had escalated over time, involving public drags, insults, and legal steps, including Angela’s brief detention. Okorie has however, decided to choose peace over conflict and respect mental health. She also extended apologies to Mercy’s family, including her husband and kids whom have been subjected to bully in their school from students, teachers and even patents.
