Actress Foluke Daramola Lists All The ‘Misfortunes’ That Befell Her After Supporting Tinubu

Foluke Daramola-Salako, the veteran Nollywood actress, has opened up on some personal and professional challenges she faced after throwing her weight behind president Bola Tinubu during the 2023 general elections.

In an interview with Behind The Fame TV, the actress revealed that her decision to support President Bola Tinubu in 2023 led to the loss of two ambassadorship deals valued at 10 million and 15 million Naira respectively.

She revealed that her stance nearly impacted her marriage. Despite the challenges she faced, she felt proud to have voted according to her conscience and beliefs.

She emphasised that the 2027 elections will be different, as she plans to approach them with greater decisiveness than in the last elections.

She said: “The truth of the matter is, for me, the way I was in 2023 cannot be the way I will be in 2027. It can’t be because… I know what I lost without collecting a kobo, no matter how much is seen. I lost two ambassorial deals, one 10 million, one 15 million, because of the election, because of Obidient movement. I almost lost my marriage.

“I almost lost my marriage but the fundamental thing is that I voted my conscience and choice.”

Daramola-Salako was appointed media assistant for the performing arts directorate department of the APC’s 2023 presidential campaign council in Lagos State.
