The 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) kicked off in December 2025 in Morocco, and it has been fascinating fans not only in Nigeria but also across various parts of the world. African tournaments are renowned for not only showcasing talented athletes from various countries in Africa, but also promoting African values, culture, and lifestyle.
While men attempt to dazzle the audience with their skills and objectives of winning the tournament, it’s almost impossible to ignore some of the gorgeous African women who are in the stands to support their favourite superstars. Women from the host nation, Morocco, emerged in droves to wave their country’s flag and to also chant the names of their star players, such as Achraf Hakimi and Brahim Diaz. Simply put, the women at the tournament are in attendance to bring colour to the competition and showcase the beauty of African women from various parts of the continent.

Beauty in itself cannot be cocooned into one definition, as there are different variations of beauty. While Northern African women are usually light-skinned, their Sub-Saharan counterparts are of darker shades; therefore, the expression of beauty isn’t monotonous.
