American rapper Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., widely known as DDG, has said he wants to relocate to Lagos, Nigeria, as his custody fight with his ex-girlfriend, Halle Bailey, continues.
The rapper made this known in a post on his official X page, formerly called Twitter. He wrote, “I’m so tired of living in LA. I can’t wait til I move to Lagos, Nigeria.”
This is not the first time DDG is talking about moving out of the United States. In January 2025, he had already told fans that he was considering leaving America for either London or Lagos. At the time, he said he was no longer happy with life in the US and wanted a change.
The latest post has now drawn reactions online, with many Nigerians showing excitement at the idea of the American star moving to Lagos. Some fans welcomed him, while others expressed doubt about whether he would really make the move.

Meanwhile, DDG’s personal life has been in the public eye for several months because of his ongoing custody battle with singer and actress Halle Bailey, who is the mother of their 17-month-old son, Halo.
The case has gained wide attention after Bailey accused DDG of physical and emotional abuse. She also secured a temporary restraining order against him, which restricted his access. The matter has continued in court, with both sides pushing for custody rights over their son.
