Nigerian actress Angela Okorie has strongly criticised her colleague, Anita Joseph, following backlash over a controversial photo edit that went viral.
On Thursday, July 9, content creator Caramel Plug accused Anita Joseph of stealing one of her images featuring a cream suit, coffee-brown tie, jacket, and yellow shoes.
According to Caramel Plug, the actress allegedly replaced her face with her own while keeping the outfit and background identical. She claimed her attempts to comment on the post were repeatedly deleted.
Amid mounting public outrage, Anita Joseph removed the photo and issued an apology, attributing the incident to an error in Artificial Intelligence (AI) generation.
Reacting via her Instagram page, Angela Okorie did not hold back. She described Anita as “a bad person” and a “complete yeyebrity,” questioning how a celebrity could use someone else’s photo and expect to get away with it.
Okorie, who has also experienced style theft, stressed that many people copy her looks and pretend they originated them. She maintained that while AI use is acceptable, replacing someone’s head on their original outfit without permission is unacceptable.
