Nigerian socialite and media personality Yhemolee has ignited widespread discussion on social media after sharing a strong message about false rape accusations on his Instagram story.
Known for his outspoken presence online, Yhemolee addressed the emotional and social impact such allegations can have on men and their families.
In his statement, Yhemolee described false rape accusations as being as harmful and serious as the crime of rape itself. He stressed that while society continues to advocate for the protection of women from abuse, there should also be equal concern for protecting men from wrongful accusations.
He wrote: “False Rape accusation is as evil as Rape itself.As we continue protect our women from Abusers we should also protect our Men from Accusers.
“It’s mentally draining and exhausting for men to go through such.Rape is a serious offense as well as False accusation of rape. As a woman if your son is wrongfully accused of rape maybe you will understand what it could do to him and the family as a whole. Pls let’s do better”.
