KWAM1, the popular Fuji musician with his real name King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, has written again to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, alleging exclusion from the Awujale nomination process and nullification of the nomination meeting.
In a letter dated January 14, 2026, the Fuji icon’s lawyer, Dr. Wahab Shittu, SAN, claimed that his client and other eligible members of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House were deliberately excluded from the January 12 nomination meeting at Bisrod Hotel, Ijebu Ode.

The exclusion was allegedly carried out by heavily armed security personnel, including police officers, who restricted entry to only those with special “delegate” cards issued by a faction within the ruling fasengbuwa house. K1’s petition argues that this unilateral approach breached the Ogun State Obas and Chiefs Law, 2021, and the Awujale of Ijebuland Chieftaincy Declaration.
The musician is seeking the nullification of the January 12 nomination exercise, citing procedural irregularities and violations of his constitutional right to fair hearing. He has urged the governor to declare the exercise null and void and order a fresh, transparent, and inclusive nomination process.
