Baba Fryo, the veteran musician has weighed in on the failed marriage between Afrobeats icon 2Face Idibia and his ex-wife, actress Annie Idibia, blaming both parties for not managing their relationship properly.
In a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, Baba Fryo stated that the couple’s inability to maintain a balanced relationship contributed to their separation. He argued that both being in the entertainment industry may have added pressure to their union.
“2Face and his ex-wife didn’t manage themselves well. They are both entertainers, Annie is an actress and 2Face is a musician,” Fryo said.
He emphasized that a woman’s role in a marriage includes helping her partner stay grounded, especially during moments of weakness.
“In marriage, when a couple goes out, it’s the woman’s duty to look out for the man. If he’s drinking too much, she should calm him. But if both of them drink, then when they’re both drunk, who will take the other home?”

Fryo suggested that such dynamics could create insecurity in a man, prompting him to seek someone with a different approach.
However, the veteran singer also questioned 2Face’s new relationship with Natasha Osawuru, a lawmaker in Edo State. He revealed that he has known her since childhood and does not believe she is necessarily a better match.
“I’m not saying Natasha’s attitude is any better. I’ve known her since she was three years old, I even carried her on my legs. Her father, Desmond, was my friend,” he said.
2Face announced his separation from Annie earlier this year and later introduced Natasha as his new partner.
