
Bashir Ahmad, a former presidential aide, has come to the defense of Naira Marley, praising his thorough documentation of his interactions with the late singer Mohbad.
Ahmad stated, “I wouldn’t have believed Naira Marley if he hadn’t documented everything so thoroughly, messages, calls, videos and dates, from the Marlian Music boss, Naira Marley, documented everything thoroughly, from the first day they started talking to the last time. Those who wrongly accused Naira Marley owe him an apology, at the very least.”

Bashir Ahmad’s statement comes after Naira Marley shared his side of the story regarding the controversies surrounding Mohbad’s death. Marley’s recent video has sparked a lot of discussion online, with many praising his transparency.
As reported by eelive.ng, Marley denied any involvement in Mohbad’s death, stating that he was abroad when the incident occurred and cooperated fully with the police investigation. He emphasised that he and Mohbad had disagreements, but claimed they made peace before Mohbad’s death.
Marley claimed he made peace with Mohbad before his death, and they understood each other beyond their past misunderstandings. He however, expressed shock that accusing fingers were pointed at him after Mohbad’s death, allowing him to be torn apart by the public. Marley provided thorough documentation of his interactions with Mohbad, which Bashir Ahmad praised as evidence of his innocence.
