One of this year’s Big Brother Naija housemates, Kolapo Omotosho, better known as Kola, has made some shocking revelations about his past.
Kola, who is 28 years old and from Ekiti State, says he’s in his “soft era” and wants to show people that it’s okay to be real, gentle and vulnerable in a world that often likes tough guys. But something he said in his profile has one wondering.
“I broke someone’s heart then acted like I was the one who needed healing,” he confessed.
“I gave mixed signals, disappeared, then came back like nothing happened… At the time, I thought I was just protecting my peace but really, I was avoiding accountability.”

This part has shocked many fans, with some saying that Kola may be using “softness” to cover up his manipulative past. One viewer tweeted, “So this guy played someone dirty and still came out looking like the victim? Hmm. Red flag o.”
Kola says he now leads with honesty and wants to “connect with people” and “push boundaries” in the house. But his own words show that he still has some habits that may cause drama in Biggie’s house.
“My need to always be right,” he said.
“I get so caught up in proving my point that I can lose sight of the fact that not every battle needs to be won.”
This statement makes one question how Kola will cope in the BBNaija house where ego clashes and tension happen almost every day.
Some fans are already picking sides. While some say he’s just being honest about his growth, others think he may be rebranding himself and using buzzwords like “soft era” and “authenticity” to win fans over.
“He sabi dress, talk gently and act cool, but make una watch am well. I no trust this one,” one fan wrote on Instagram.
Kola’s journey to BBNaija started after he moved to Canada, where he built a new life as a tech worker and content creator. According to him, leaving Nigeria and starting over was one of the best things he’s ever done.
“I left everything, friends, culture, weather, and started over with just ambition and grit,” he said.
