
Nigerian reality star, Uriel Oputa has come out to condemn Nigerian men who criticise women for growing older.
The businesswoman and former Big Brother Naija star expressed her thoughts on Instagram, questioning why anyone would consider age-shaming to be an insult.
She emphasised that she would rather grow older than die young, stating that ageing is a privilege.

Here is what she said:
“There is no shame in aging. Aging is a privilege.
I’d rather grow older in purpose than be six feet under with regrets.”
She went further to say, “some people have all the money in the world- and still wish they had more day to breathe.”
In conclusion, she wrote, “don’t mock what you don’t understand. One day, life will remind you.”

Who is Uriel Oputa?

Uriel Oputa, a former Big Brother Naija housemate who has been documenting her fitness journey online, including fasting daily, she mentioned that the practice has increased her libido.
Uriel spent most of her formative years in the UK and graduated from Bedfordshire University with a degree in creative writing. After her studies, she came back to Nigeria to pursue a musical career. Being a model and singer, she is also known for participating in BBN 2.
