Nelly Mbonu, former Big Brother Naija Season 9 housemate has claimed that fellow contestant Kassia was responsible for the breakdown of her friendship with her husband, Kellyrae.
During the show, Nelly and Kellyrae shared a close bond, especially before he revealed to the housemates that they were actually married. However, in the latest episode of the BBNaija reunion, Nelly confirmed that their friendship has since ended and she pointed fingers at Kassia.
Reflecting on the fallout, Nelly said the strain began after Kassia allegedly lied to her on the show. According to Nelly, Kassia falsely claimed that another housemate, Onyeka, had said something negative about her, something that later turned out to be untrue.
“It never once felt like Kellyrae and I had issues,” Nelly insisted.
Host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu asked her when she first noticed a shift in Kellyrae’s behavior.
Nelly responded, “Obviously, it’s the wife.”
Kassia immediately pushed back, saying, “Hmm? You stopped talking to him. What do you mean by, ‘obviously, it’s the wife’?”

Visibly upset, Nelly shot back, “Can you shut up and let me speak? Anyway, like I was saying—the wife clearly had a problem with me in the house. I told Onyeka you said something, and you claimed Onyeka told you. You were so confident about it. But it turns out, it wasn’t even true. You never mentioned it was just your instinct.”
Kassia responded, “I said two things, Onyeka said the first one, and the second was just my instinct. Maybe you misunderstood.”
