Bella Shmurda Explains Why he Created Music for Fraudsters

Nigerian recording artiste, Bella Shmurda, has disclosed that he made his hit song Cash App for internet fraudsters, otherwise known as Yahoo boys.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the song during a recent interview with Clout Africa, Shmurda explained that after realising that internet fraud was an arduous task, he decided to cater to Yahoo boys by releasing a song that highlights their struggles and motivates them.

The host asked: “What inspired Cash App? Were you doing Yahoo?”

Shmurda replied: “It is Yahoo in the sense that they [Yahoo boys] have to dance. These people that are hustling, you have to make them happy. Because internet fraud is stressful. It has a lot of challenges.

“The truth is, when it comes to inspiration, you don’t have any story behind it. It is natural, it just comes. It is God-given. So, Cash App is divine.”
