
Big Brother Naija, one of the most popular reality TV shows in Africa, has done nothing but entertain its audiences for over a decade.
Since its inception in 2006, the show has selected amazing housemates for each season, with whom each of the housemates has graced our screens with different personalities; from the ones who entered with iconic strategies to the ones who entered with pity strategies and comedic strategies.
eelive.ng has made a compilation of the popular show’s winners since inception and where they are now:
1. Katung Aduwak (Season 1, 2006)

Katung Aduwak, a Nigerian filmmaker and producer, was the first-ever Big Brother Naija winner. After the show, Katung pursued a career in filmmaking, producing several notable projects.

Today, he works behind the scenes in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
2. Michael “Efe” Ejeba (Season 2, 2017)

Michael “Efe” Ejeba, a musician, and reality TV star, won the second season of Big Brother Naija in 2017. After the show, Efe walked away with a sun of 25 million Naira and a brand new car.

He has also explored acting and brand influencing, building a successful career in the entertainment industry. He is also referred to as ‘Efe Money’ in the music world and has dropped a couple of songs.
3. Miracle Igbokwe (Season 3, 2018)

Miracle Igbokwe, a licensed pilot, won the third season of Big Brother Naija in 2018.

After the show, Miracle returned to aviation, pursuing a career as a pilot. He maintains a low profile outside the spotlight, focusing on his aviation career.
4. Mercy Eke (Season 4, 2019)

Mercy Eke, with the nickname ’Mercy Lambo’ an entrepreneur, won the fourth season of Big Brother Naija in 2019. After the show, Mercy launched several business ventures, including fashion and skincare lines.

She has also acted in several Nollywood films, building a successful career in the entertainment industry. However, she also recently just did her masters.

5. Olamilekan “Laycon” Agbeleshe (Season 5, 2020)

Olamilekan “Laycon” Agbeleshe, a Nigerian rapper, and songwriter, won the fifth season of Big Brother Naija in 2020.

After the show, Laycon pursued a music career, releasing several hit singles. He has also become a public speaker, youth ambassador, and advocate for mental health initiatives.
6. Hazel “Whitemoney” Onou (Season 6, 2021)

Hazel “Whitemoney” Onou, a musician, won the sixth season of Big Brother Naija in 2021.

After the show, Whitemoney pursued a music career, releasing several singles. He has also become a successful entrepreneur and brand influencer, building a strong personal brand.
7. Ijeoma “Phyna” Otabor (Season 7, 2022)

Ijeoma “Phyna” Otabor, a Nigerian media personality, and entrepreneur, won the seventh season of Big Brother Naija in 2022.
