Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye has announced that her movie, ‘To Be a Friend’, is making a coming back.
The film, which was taken down from YouTube due to copyright issues related to sound content, is set to be re-uploaded on October 16, 2025 on her channel, BimboAdemoyeTV.
Bimbo Ademoye shared her emotional experience of taking down the film, saying she cried over the takedown and felt both upset and hurt. She recalls it was a silly avoidable mistake that cost her a movie with almost 6 million views in its 3rd week. Despite the setback, she’s grateful for the support and encouragement she received.

Her post reads: “We’re Coming back!
I remember when I had to take TBAF down .I cried my eyes out . I was more upset than hurt. Matter of fact, I felt both emotions really deep. A silly avoidable mistake cost me a movie with almost 6 million views in its 3rd week.”

”I Almost lost everything ,but Mercy said no!. One day, I’d come on here and tell you the real story behind me taking down TO BE A FRIEND.
Anyways! In Exactly 3 days , TO BE A FRIEND would be back up on the channel BIMBOADEMOYETV… 16th October at exactly 2pm. We watch till we can watch no more.”
“I need all the support I can get guys. I know majority have seen it before, but a rewatch wouldn’t be a bad idea. 😁. It’s very rare that a re-upload gets lots of views, but I’m trusting God and you guys to do the magic! Until then, I’d do the best I can to push it for the next 3 days. Thank you and God bless you .”
The movie stars Bimbo Ademoye, Uzor Arukwe, Deyemi Okanlawon, and Kunle Remi, and was directed by Great Val Edochie.
She also shared advice for fellow filmmakers, “Just because they slide into your dm asking for help doesn’t mean you should help them, some people are born evil and would do anything to reap where they didn’t sow”.
