Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, who is better known as Blaqbonez, has explained that his relationship with his previously estranged father has improved immensely in recent times.
This recent development is coming after Blaqbonez recently met his German step-siblings for the first time after reuniting with his dad in January 2025, barely a year after revealing his father had abandoned both him and his mother after his birth and relocated to Germany.

Appearing in a recent episode of The Perspective podcast, the rapper disclosed that his relationship with his dad has improved.
“My relationship with my dad is getting stronger and stronger. We are talking more than ever before. It is better than it has ever been,” he said.
Responding to a question from the host, Blaqbonez clarified that his dad would still have reunited with him even if he wasn’t famous.
He emphasised that his dad doesn’t live in Nigeria and doesn’t really realise how big a star he is.

Talking about his father on X, Blaqbonez had this to say, “spent the last week with my dad, longest we’ve ever been together, really cool guy, pillar of his community n tings, but I def got the swag from my mum.”
