Nigerian recording artist Spyro, whose real name is Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, has spoken about how brands have refused to work with him for choosing to promote decent music and visiting various universities to admonish youths to choose a life with worthwhile values.
Speaking via his Instagram page, Spyro, who is renowned for discussing his Christian and moral values, stated that musicians and entertainers need to use their platforms to promote a culture that can help propel the youth toward careers that will contribute to societal development and a brighter future.
The singer-songwriter stated that he is unafraid to address the moral decadence in society and across the globe because he wants to reach people and talk to them about values that would transform the generation.

In the video, the ‘Who is your guy’ crooner stated that he went across various higher institutions to talk about healthy values that would help the next generation. He went on to mention that several brands refused to support him; hence, he had to execute the project from his own pocket.
In the latter part of the video, Spyro spoke about how prostitution, fraud, and other forms of vices are maligning both the present and future generation; hence, celebrities and influencers should take responsibility.
Sharing the video, Spyro stated that he admonished his audience and fellow celebrities to never shy away from promoting essential values. In the caption of the video, Spyro wrote, “God sent me to tell someone, the reason you are still STUCK is because you are too busy thinking about YOURSELF, stop trying to use me this year and allow me USE you and watch what happens.”
“Whatever the consequences or repercussions that this video would cause, I genuinely do not care,” Spyro said at the commencement of the video.
