BudX Lagos Is Back For Another Edition

BUDX is back with three days of music, workshops and parties from 26 – 28 June 2019. The globe-travelling celebration of creativity is powered by electronic music magazine Mixmag and Budweiser beer.

Here’s the breakdown of what to expect:

  • Day One:
  • Talks by Trinidadian DJ, Jillionaire on bridging the gap between Africa and the Caribbean with music and DJ Obi on
    fighting sleep deprivation, hallucinations, hunger and fatigue while DJing a 10-day-record breaking.
    Music performances by Ycee, Rema, Jillionaire, DJ Obi and Smallz the DJ.

  • Day Two:
  • Talks by style icons Tokyo James, Orange Culture and Ladipoe on the evolution of Nigerian fashion into a globally influential scene; Teni the Entertainer leading a panel on how Nigerian women are leading the next wave of Nigerian culture, and “Film: Nigeria’s biggest cultural export” with Kemi Adetiba, Sesan Ogunro and Banky W.
    Music performances by Distruction Boyz, Teni the Entertainer, DJ Nana and special guests, TBA.

  • Day Three:
  • Talks by Zlatan and Westsyde Lifestyle NG on Nigerian dances going viral; DJ Lambo and DJ Nana on female DJs guiding Nigeria’s club scene, and Mayorkun & Ycee on Nigerian artists infiltrating the global mainstream.
    Music performances by Runtown, Mayorkun and Zlatan with DJ Crowd Kontroller and DJ Consequence.

    The goal of BUDX is to cast the spotlight on outstanding creative minds by focusing on exciting local scenes from around the world. Innovative and carefully curated talks, masterclasses, installations, visual arts and performances, give creative leaders their time to shine.
