The 2026 Grammys Awards nominations have once again spotlighted Nigerian artists and Afrobeats on the global stage, with several acts earning nominations across key categories.

For the fourth year, the Best African Music Performance category is back at the Grammy Awards, and Nigerian artists are dominating the nominations.

Burna Boy got a nomination in the “Best African Music Performance” category with his song Love, from his album “No Sign of Weakness.”

Other Nigerian stars that earned nominations include Davido featuring Omah Lay for “With You”, Ayra Starr featuring Wizkid for “Gimme Dat”.

Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin for “Hope & Love”, and Tyla for “Push 2 Start” among nominees for the category.

This year’s celebration will return to L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena on February 1, 2026, airing live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ by 5 p.m. PT.
