Afrobeats sensation Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has emerged as the most-streamed artist of all time on Spotify in Nigeria.
The milestone was announced by Spotify to celebrate five years of operations in Nigeria, Kenya, and Ghana since its launch in February 2021, under the tagline “Celebrating 5 years of Spotify in Kenya, Nigeria, and Ghana, powered by you.”
The cumulative streaming data over the past five years shows a list dominated by Nigerian talents, with Asake leading ahead of Grammy award-winning star Wizkid, who sits at number 2, Seyi Vibes (3), Grammy award-winning artiste Burna Boy at number 4 and Davido at number 5.

This ranking reinforces Afrobeats as the leading sound in Nigeria, driven by homegrown creators and a youthful audience.
Asake also dominates the most-streamed songs chart, with his hit “Remember” from Work of Art claiming the number one spot as the all-time most-streamed track in the country.
He secures four entries in the top 10 overall, including “Lonely at the Top” in the top five.
