The 2020 Glastonbury Festival recently announced Burna Boy as one of its headliners. The African Giant joins Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, Diana Ross, Kendrick Lamar, FKA twigs, Thom Yorke and more on the festival’s 50th-anniversary lineup.
This is all despite festivals like SXSW and Coachella being canceled or postponed in the wake of concerns surrounding COVID-19. So far, the festival is scheduled to go on as planned despite looming pubic health concerns, which include directives to avoid large gatherings.
“As things stand we are still working hard to deliver our 50th anniversary Festival in June. We are very proud of the bill that we have put together over the last year,” the festival organizer Emily Eavis announced on Instagram.

She added that the entire lineup will be revealed in May. “No one has a crystal ball to see exactly where we will all be 15 weeks from now. But we are keeping our fingers firmly crossed; that it will be here at Worthy Farm for the greatest show on Earth.”
Glastonbury Festival 2020 will take place June 24 – June 28 at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset, England.
At least, this time, Burna will have no complaints about the size of his font. Prior to the Glastonbury Festival announcement, Burna Boy’s song On The Low went gold in France. Read about it here.
