This latest achievement shows Burna Boy’s enduring dominance across digital platforms. Weeks earlier, he shattered records on Spotify, becoming the African artist with the highest monthly listeners at 46.84 million surpassing South Africa’s Tyla’s previous peak of 46.58 million.
The surge is largely credited to the global hit “Dai Dai,” his collaboration with Colombian icon Shakira. Selected as the official anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the track gained massive traction following their electrifying performance at the opening ceremony, further expanding Burna Boy’s international appeal.
