Nigerian singer and rapper, Olamide has dismissed reports alleging that he and singer Asake are no longer on good terms following the latter’s move away from the YBNL roster.
Olamide, in an interview with BBC said his relationship with his junior colleague remains solid despite changes in business structure.

Rumours of a rift intensified earlier this year when Asake officially ended his contract with YBNL sparking a feud with his now-former label boss.

Asake joined YBNL in February 2022 after years of pursuing his career independently. His debut single under the label, “Omo Ope,” featuring Olamide, became a nationwide hit and marked his breakthrough into mainstream music.

His success contributed to discussions about Olamide’s reputation for nurturing stars like Adekunle Gold, Fireboy DML, Lil Kesh, and Chinko Ekun. Speculation increased earlier this year when Asake launched his own record label, Giran Republic, indicating a new phase in his career.
