Nigerian comedian and content creator Carter Efe has sparked fresh conversations on social media after expressing disappointment over what he described as a lack of recognition from music star, Wizkid.
In a viral statement shared online, Carter Efe claimed that he had supported and promoted Wizkid’s music throughout his career, only to feel sidelined in return.
“I promoted Wizkid music all through my career only for him to give 20Million naira to God over. Wizkid are you proud of him now? ” Carter Efe said.

Several social media users argued that support within the entertainment industry should not necessarily be transactional, emphasising that artists are free to reward or acknowledge people as they see fit. Others, however, suggested that Carter Efe’s comments highlight the competitive and often emotional nature of relationships within the music and comedy scenes.
