Veteran Nollywood actor, Femi Branch, has been prevented from leaving the location of movie set after allegedly assaulting an assistant movie director.
A video of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows the actor being prevented from leaving the location by security personnel and crew members.
In the footage, voices can be heard insisting that Branch must return to complete filming before being allowed to leave. “You can’t leave here until you go back to finish the remaining shooting,” one crew member is heard saying.
An agitated Femi Branch confronted the film’s director, saying, “Did I have business with you? Are you the one that called me on this set? Did you bring me here to insult me or what is the meaning of this?”
The director calmly responded, “Hello sir, can we just start the filming?”
Branch shot back: “Please don’t talk to me. You don’t have control of your set.”
The director then addressed the alleged altercation: “You’re insulting someone on my set. Did I not tell you it was enough during the incident? I don’t necessarily have to talk to you. Let’s just shoot this film and go. You slapped somebody on my set. Was I not the one you slapped? Oga, no problem—you’ve done your own.”

The actor, visibly frustrated, turned to the security personnel blocking his car from exiting and threatened to escalate the matter.
“You people are blocking me from driving out, right? I swear to God, I will report you to the management for locking me inside your estate. You must explain your business with our location,” he said.
As of the time of this report, neither the production team nor Femi Branch has released an official statement regarding the incident.
