Nollywood actor and hype-man Charles Okocha, famously known as Mr. Phenomenal, is celebrating big this festive season after receiving a jaw dropping $50,000 Christmas gift from billionaire businessman Tony Elumelu.
The actor, known for his over the top skits, movie roles, and viral slang, shared a video online showing him in a frenzy of excitement as he held tightly stacks of U.S. dollar bills.
In the viral clip, Okocha is seen trying to climb a security guard’s shoulder and dashing around in joy while stunned onlookers laughed and cheered.
The cash gift worth over ₦73 million naira came from Elumelu, Chairman of UBA and founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation, known for supporting entrepreneurship across Africa.

However, this heartwarming moment comes shortly after Charles released his single “Elumelu,”which name drops the business mogul. While fans praised the generosity and the celebratory vibe, others speculated whether the gesture was promotional or simply a reward for the musical shoutout.
