Nigerian celebrity chef and content creator Chef T with her real name Tolani Tayo-Osikoya who is behind the popular Instagram handle @Diaryofakitchenlover, has clapped back at a critic who had so much to say about her high-energy cooking competition show “Delicious or Diaster.
A user on Instagram identified as mimibabey, had called the celebrity chef out saying : “Chef T is chaotic and condescending, and she constantly belittles the chefs with her remarks…Please throw the entire show away and bring in actual chefs as judges if it must continue.”
The user bashed the show calling it a humiliation ritual; “Going on @diaryofakitchenlover cooking show Delicious or Disaster as a chef is a humiliation ritual that yields absolutely nothing but the highest level of disrespect imaginable. I’ve never seen anything so pretentious, trashy, cringe and utterly disgusting.”
The celebrity chef who has always refused to address criticism on her new food competition, pushed back mimibabey’s accusations. She explained that she had largely ignored online commentary until being directly tagged, and accused some critics of basing their judgments on short, out-of-context clips rather than watching complete episodes. “You didn’t go on the show. I’m sure you watched just a few clips and then looked at me from head to toe and called me condescending.”
Challenging critics, she acted them to provide concrete evidence of her alleged behavior, urging them to specify instances where she crossed the line.
