Pearl Okafor, the newly wedded wife of Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Ministry, has dismissed allegations that she was raped by the clergyman, describing their relationship as a divinely arranged union.
The couple recently drew attention on social media after a video showing them publicly expressing affection and praising each other surfaced online.
In response to the controversy, Pearl opened up about how their relationship began, insisting it was “miraculously orchestrated by God” and not by human effort.
“We met by divine orchestration. It was something that would never have happened by human efforts. God actually put us together,” she said.

Speaking passionately about her husband, Pearl added, “He is my sugar daddy. He is my boyfriend. He is my husband. He is my best friend, and he is still my daddy.”
She also expressed optimism about their future together, saying, “I am looking forward to carrying his children, little versions of him. I want to watch them grow. I want to watch my family bask in God’s glory.”
Chris Okafor echoed her sentiments, stating that he was certain about his decision to marry her.
“I had no doubt about it. I knew what I wanted and what I was going for, and I am happy,” he said.
The couple’s comments come amid allegations made by Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, who claimed that the pastor had raped Pearl and impregnated her. Ogala further alleged that Pearl’s mother, said to be a choir coordinator in the church, demanded that Okafor marry Pearl or risk public disgrace.
The actress also claimed that Pearl is currently pregnant.
In addition, Ogala alleged that she had been in a romantic relationship with Okafor since 2017. According to her, she left her previous marriage at the cleric’s insistence and accused him of betraying her after years of intimacy and promises of marriage.
Ogala’s claims emerged last weekend following the circulation of a video showing Okafor’s engagement to Pearl, sparking widespread debate on social media.
