Nigerian recording artiste, Kcee, has stated that he is more concerned about creating music consistently rather than pursuing hit songs.
According to the singer-songwriter, whose real name is Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo, he isn’t pressured to find hit songs.
Speaking in an episode of the Selah Meditate podcast, Kcee stated that releasing more songs increases the chance of scoring a hit song.
“Some of my colleagues can drop a song, and if it goes bad, they go back to their shell, and they are sad. But that can’t be me.
“I can drop 22 songs, maybe it is the 25th one that will become a hit. I don’t care because consistency is key,” he expressed.
The singer said he has experienced so many difficult times in the music industry, but people rarely noticed because he is always appearing flamboyant in public, regardless of his situation.
He also spoke about how positive manifestation has impacted his life.
“When E-Money and I were living in Ajegunle, if you asked us where we were living, we would say Ikeja. And we were not lying or pretending, we were dreaming, prophesying into the future.
“And that was where we eventually moved to. And we dominated it.”
Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo, better known as KCee, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He was formerly in the hip-hop duo KC Presh. The Nigerian recording artiste currently has a record deal with Five Star Music.
