Controversial Nigerian musician St Janet has died.
Eelive.ng gathered that the Highlife and Juju musician, whose real name is Iyun Janet Oluwatoyosi Ajilore, died on Saturday, August 1, following a battle with an undisclosed illness.

Otunba Femi Davies, a Nigerian publisher and socialite, announced the singer’s passage on Sunday morning in a Facebook post.
“St Janet (Iyun Janet Ajilore), a popular Nigerian Juju and Highlife musician known for her vibrant live performances, energetic stage presence and socially unfiltered party tracks, is dead. She died after a brief illness on Saturday,” he wrote.
Eelive.ng reports that St Janet was widely celebrated for her unique style and energetic performances that earned her a strong fan base within the Juju music community, both at home and abroad.
Her ability to blend Juju and Highlife music with witty social commentary made her a household name at parties, celebrations, and other social events.
Her family is yet to announce details of funeral arrangements.
