US-based Nigerian dancer and singer Korra Obidi has revealed how opening up about her struggles helped her scale through the challenging aftermath of her divorce from American estranged husband Justin Dean.
In a recent interview with BBC News Pidgin, Obidi reflected on the emotional toll of the separation, which made headlines in 2022 shortly after the birth of their second child.

When asked by the host about the hardest part of the divorce and how she rebuilt her self-confidence, Obidi emphasised the power of vulnerability and community support.
“Open up to your people. If e happen, I dey share am, e dey reduce the pain. But if e happen and you keep am, na you go explode,” she said in Pidgin English.
