Nigerians have taken to the comment section of the prestigious music award organisers, the Grammy Award, on the social media platform, Instagram, to express their displeasure in the singer’s failure to emerge successful for the second consecutive year.

According to infuriated commentators and music pundits, the Grammy Award organisers are predominantly interested in using Davido’s name and reputation to garner attention from Africans and some of his fans in other parts of the world. They claimed that the award organisers are not interested in honouring the ‘With You’ anytime soon.

Tyla won the award for her song ”Push 2 Start”. She topped Burna Boy’s Love, Davido’s With You featuring Omah Lay, Ayra Starr and Wizkid’s Gimme Dat, and Hope & Love by Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin.

On Sunday evening, before the show started, Grammy organizers shared a video of Davido on their Instagram page. They included the caption, “We heard y’all wanted a just Davido carousel. You’re welcome.”

The photos received predominantly reactions from fans of Davido, who stated that the Grammy organizers are simply chasing clout.
