Afrobeats superstar Davido with the real name David Adeleke, has publicly expressed deep gratitude to his billionaire father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, for stepping in decisively to address his recent paternity controversy involving a 12-year-old girl, Anuoluwapo (Anu), who claimed to be his daughter.
In a rare press conference on January 21, 2026, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke addressed the allegations head-on. He revealed that the family had conducted several DNA tests over the years, including one with a 0.00% probability of paternity across reputable labs in Lagos and abroad.

Despite the conclusive results disproving any biological link, the elder Adeleke disclosed his compassionate support by paying Anu’s school fees, providing upkeep, and even offering her mother a university scholarship and monthly salary since 2014, purely out of kindness, not obligation.
Davido, visibly moved by his father’s protective move, took to social media to thank him warmly. “Thank you my loving father”, Davido wrote.
The saga, resurfaced in mid-January 2026 after Anu appealed online for a fresh DNA test amid years of bullying and speculation. Davido consistently denied the claims, citing multiple negative DNA results. However, his father’s intervention that brought clarity and closure to the allegations.
