Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke with his stage name Davido, has placed a hefty bet on the Super Eagles, staking 50,000 dollars approximately 71 million naira on Nigeria’s victory against Morocco in tonight’s AFCON semi-final match.
If Nigeria wins, Davido stands to win a whopping 500 million naira. This is not Davido’s first big bet on the Super Eagles as he previously won about 150 million naira after predicting Nigeria’s win over Tanzania. The singer captioned his post: “Nigeria to make the finals and I’ll double my stake on my slip”.

The match is set to kick off at 9 pm Nigerian time, and Nigeria will be looking to end their 13-year wait for an AFCON title. Following suit, Afrobeat singer Joeboy stakes 5 million Naira bet on Nigeria to defeat Morocco the host Nation as he shared his betting slip online. Popular TikToker Peller has also place a bet on the match staking 4.5 million Naira.
Billionaire Abdul Samad Rabiu has also promised a $500,000 bonus to the team if they defeat Morocco, with an additional $50,000 for each goal scored.
Recall that Nigeria moved to the semi final stage after trashing Algeria 2 goals and leaving them with 2 matches, one which will be seen tonight and if won, will move to the finals.
