D’banj, veteran afrobeats star, has revealed plans for a joint tour with fellow Nigerian artists 2Baba and Timaya.
In a recent interview with Adesope Live in London, D’banj discussed the tour, saying, “We have great bodies of work. Because of how our industry is, there is a big market for everyone. So, yes, we will be going on a tour.”

The “Oliver Twist” hitmaker expressed his excitement about the collaboration, highlighting the growth and global recognition of Afrobeats. D’banj noted that the genre’s success is not just due to the dedication of its artists and executives but also the support of the African diaspora.
D’banj also announced an upcoming song with 2Face titled “Feeling Good,” which he hinted might be the tag for their tour. He expressed gratitude to fans who have waited for new music, saying, “For those who have waited, I want to thank you guys.”
Reflecting on Afrobeats’ journey, D’banj recalled the challenges faced by African artists in the UK, where they were not as widely accepted as Jamaican artists. However, he celebrated the genre’s current global popularity, noting that Afrobeats is now featured in UK movies and has become the “new pop.”
D’banj praised the African diaspora for their support, saying, “A big kudos not just to the creatives but to the whole community.”
