Nigerian rapper, Shallipopi, has disclosed how he was maltreated by some of his senior colleagues when he tried to break into the music industry earlier in his career.

According to the musician whose real name is Crown Uzama, several of his senior colleagues spat on his face when he was trying to break into the music industry around 2023 and 2024.

In a social media post, the ‘Ex-convict’ crooner emphasized that several Nigerian artists did not give him a safe landing in the industry or even receptive.

He explained that the experience has made him to be “extra mean.”

On his X handle, the singer wrote, “2023/2024 many artist pour me spit for face…. I mean manyyyyyy, that’s why I’m extra mean, ogun go kill of una one by one as time dey go.”
