DJ Cuppy, the popular Nigerian DJ and philanthropist with her real name Ifeoluwa Otedola, has officially announced a temporary break from social media.
In her post on X (formerly Twitter), she wrote: “Never done this before but I’m taking a short break from social media. I need some quiet time with myself and time being hidden with God. I’m okay and just taking a moment to reset and reconnect. I’ll be back.”
She further explained in related updates that this break, is tied to starting the new year with a 21-day biblical fasting. Cuppy emphasized the need for personal reflection, spiritual renewal, and processing a few private matters quietly, noting that after recent weeks of reflection, she realized she needed this more than ever.

Reassuring her fans, she said; “Please do not worry about me, I am okay… I know I usually post on Instagram every day, so this feels strange even for me. I will be back. Just taking a moment to reset and reconnect.”
The move which seem to have stirred reactions from fans was also take by Nollywood actress Nancy Isime. As the world was celebrating the new year with bold declarations, the actress, while wishing her fans a happy new year also shared that she would be going off social media to focus on her personal growth and did not give a specific time she would be coming back.
