In a recent podcast chat with Khloe Kardashian on “Khloe in Wonder Land,” Dolly explained that she’s currently unable to pour her emotions into music. “I can’t do it right now ’cause I got so many other things that I can’t afford the luxury of, you know, of getting emotional right now,” she said. Although she’s put her music career on hold, Dolly remains open to creating again if inspiration strikes. “I’ll write something else, though, if it comes. I’m just putting that all on hold,” she added, describing her current state as “stalled”.
Before his passing, Dolly had been preparing for various projects. Notably, she has an upcoming residency in Las Vegas at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, scheduled for December 4-13, 2025.
