Nigerian singer Peruzzi has publicly shut down claims that his involvement was the main reason behind Davido’s massive success and consistency in the music industry.
A user on X @thabluemedia (Dharblue) had posted: “To be honest, if Peruzzi was not part of Davido’s journey, I’m not sure Davido would have become this big, or even stayed consistent in the industry. He doesn’t look like someone who would have gone this far without a songwriter.”
Peruzzi, visibly irritated by the narrative, fired back saying: “Anything For Clicks & Likes, But Really I Wonder When Yall Gon Put An End To Bullsh*t Talks Like This. You Know Me & This Man Brothers, You Saw Him Help Me From Nothing To This… So What Tf You Saying This For??? When Did I Get Signed??? Person Get 1 Million Hits, Na The 1 Or 2 Wey I Do Make Am Big. Make This Rubbish Make Sense.”
The DMW revealed that Davido lifted him from a nobody to prominence, not the other way around. He reminded fans that Davido had already scored major hits and built a strong foundation long before Peruzzi joined the label, crediting OBO’s raw talent, work ethic, and vision for his global dominance.
The response quickly went viral, with many praising Peruzzi’s loyalty and humility. Supporters pointed out that Davido’s early breakthroughs like “Dami Duro,” “Gobe,” and “Fall” happened independently, proving his solo star power.
