Don’t Depend on Your Children- Ojopagogo Advises Men to Plan for Retirement

Nigerian actor, Dr. Olayiwola Olasunkanmi Razaq a.k.a Ojopagogo has sparked conversations online after sharing his views on financial independence and the responsibilities of parenthood.

In a recent statement, the actor urged men to prioritise long-term financial planning rather than relying on their children for support in old age. According to him, preparing adequately for retirement is not only wise but also necessary in today’s economic climate.

“I will urge us men to work hard for retirement and not depend on kids to live at old age,” he said.

Ojopagogo further highlighted the unintended consequences of placing such expectations on children, noting that the pressure to provide for parents can sometimes lead young people into questionable or unethical decisions.

Many kids have done immoral things out of pressure to take care of their parents,” he added.
