The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) has launched a search party for a young female TikToker named Mirabel after she shared that she was sexually assaulted at home.
The TikToker had via her page shared several emotional videos describing the traumatic event, she said happened at her home on February 15.
According to Mirabel, she has been suffering from severe insomnia and has used alcohol or drugs to help her sleep.
She disclosed that on the morning of the attack, she had woken up to someone knocking at her door and had thought it was a neighbor, but when she opened the door, she was confronted by a stranger who forced his way in.
Mirabel said she lost consciousness after being pushed to the ground. When she woke up, the intruder was raping her.
After the assault, she started bleeding heavily and at first thought it was her period starting. However, she later received a message from an Instagram account bearing the name “Priston”.
The person behind the account allegedly admitted to the crime, saying he had tried to date her several times and, after being turned down, chose to act violently.
The attacker reportedly claimed he was from a wealthy family and suggested he could influence any police investigation. revealing that she had attempted to take her own life by consuming a toxic substance.
She said a friend saved her by taking her to the hospital quickly. In the video, she sounded tired and explained she was too exhausted to reply to messages herself.
“I am too tired, I can’t respond to the“I am too tired, I can’t respond to the message. I will respond when I get better, thank you,” she wrote.

The video sparked outrage with many expressing concerns across social media, quickly drawing the attention of state authorities.
In an official statement on its X account, the Lagos DSVA said it was closely following the situation and trying to contact Mirabel.
“The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has taken note of the multiple tags and public concerns regarding a video currently circulating on social media, in which a young woman shared her experience of sexual assault at her residence on her TikTok page,” the post reads.
“We want to state clearly that we have seen the reports and we are actively making efforts to reach the survivor to offer immediate support and appropriate intervention and ascertain the location. Our team has initiated contact through available channels and will continue efforts to establish communication.”
The agency appealed to the public for help, urging anyone with credible information on Mirabel’s whereabouts to come forward.
“If anyone has credible information that can assist us in reaching her directly and safely, please contact the Agency by sending us a DM on any of our official social media channels,” it added.
