President of the Actor Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Emeka Rollas heartily congratulates Abubakar Yakubu, the current National Secretary, for emerging the winner of the guild’s national election held in Benin City, Edo State on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
Recall, Rita Daniels, the mother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels lost her bid to lead the Actors Guild of Nigeria to Yakubu.
Reacting, Rollas via his Instagram on Tuesday expressed gratitude for what he described as the ‘first Northern president of the Guild’.
He added that even though he was offered ‘daring options, he chose integrity over tribe, region and money.

He wrote: “Announcing my successor. ABUBAKAR YAKUBU.
“Step in with confidence you have got everything to maintain the status quo. You worked with me to globalize the GUILD.
“I had daring options but I kept my eyes on the ball, chose integrity over tribe, region, money.
“Even your region disappointed me.
“Today your region is happy with the news that you emerged as the first Northern President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
“For those who swore that over their dead body will you become President and all those who shared in their interest I pray for you today, you shall not die but live to see how Successfully Abubakar will leverage on our existing legacies and turn things around.”
